Doesn't deliver.
My house is A two story. The central air doesn't reach upstairs very well. The bedroom upstairs is 12 by 15 and I've had a 5000 BTU portable in the window for a number of years. It died so I replaced it with this unit which is rated at 8000. I liked the design. Having castors saves me from having to lug it around. During the winter months you just remove the hose and push it into storage. The one I bought may be a bad unit. The best I could get was a three degree reduction in temperature. In other words if it's 90 outside it'll be 87 inside. Doesn't matter how long you leave it on. I didn't buy mine from Amazon but it is going back. Since buying this one I've heard similar complaints about this design.
