Too expensive, doesn't work well, broke quickly.
I was so excited to get this unit, we needed it to cool a regular sized bedroom (10x12) on hot days because the windows weren't shaped for a window unit. The cost was steep but we bit the bullet thinking it would be worth it to sleep in a cool room in the summer.
We were so wrong. First of all, it is enormous and loud. The hose and window installation kit is flimsy at best and never stays in place, we had to build our own kit. The worst part of the whole thing was that running on full blast, this unit couldn't keep 1 regular room under 85 degrees on a 90 degree day. For $400 (it was more when I bought it), I expect it to not only cool the room, but to do it well and come with a nice venting system for installing to a window.
Lastly, I bought this until in June and it didn't even last a year. All of a sudden the A/C function stopped working and only the fan would turn on, which is useless. The have a manufacturer's warranty, but you gotta be kidding if you...
