I debated this and what I thought was a similar product and was only unsure because of the unknown brand. I'm glad we went with this. We got some more features ( follow me remote thermostat, timer for start up And shut off) and more BTUs for less money as well as a full year extra of warranty. It has arrived and is everything it said, seems real sturdy and I easy to use. It isn't silent but its quiet enough if it is across the room from you and has the cooling power to work from quite the distance. The only drawback so far is that the buttons beep loudly when pressed but that is pretty common. I'll update again when we've used it more and I love it.
